It was one of my brothers 50th birthday and I went to London to make cakes with my niece for the occasion. Being only 2 years apart in age we have always been very close and have such fun together. This is Tessa.

And these are the cakes we made. You can just make out that they say 'Happy 50th Birthday' on them, and they are topped with Starburst/Opal Fruits some of his favorite chewy sweets. I think they were nice plain vanilla cakes and a rich buttercream frosting in a two-tone swirl style.
I just remember having such fun, in a massive and cool kitchen, over looking the London skyline. What a treat from what I was used to! Also I seem to remember having to take a wheely suitcase of so much baking stuff with me on the train and Underground as I think at the time she didn't have much at hers.
